Jeroen van der Pol

As an heir of traders and workers in the meat industry in the provinces of North-Holland (close to Hoorn) and Utrecht (Wijk bij Duurstede) in The Netherlands, Jeroen van der Pol started his career in the dairy industry at FrieslandCampina in Veghel (The Netherlands) after finalizing his Biomedical Science Masters degree at the University of Utrecht and final traineeship at Danone Research in Australia investigating the bio-active proteins in colostrum (the early mother’s milk).

Jeroen’s passion has always been achieving practical results and making a difference using scientific knowledge and innovation. He has held several commercial and leadership positions in the B2B Food Ingredients industry ao at FrieslandCampina and Cargill both in Europe as well as in The Middle East before starting his own company early 2019.

Jeroen: “After being active for more than 15 years in the global Food Ingredients industry and traveling around the world I felt the time had come to maximize my impact both in the industry using my experience and network to create more sustainable value as well as privately, being a husband and father of four young children and this is the time they need me the most.

My personal vision is to improve, prolong and preserve the quality of life having healthy, high quality and sustainable food available for everyone. By working in partnership with the global leaders in the Food (ingredients) industry, where there is already a great fundament and ability to reach consumers all over the world, and to combine that with innovation power and agility by working closely together with our global partners to improve and implement the very best and sustainable global supply chains, for me is the most meaningful thing I can do in my professional life.”

Impact Ingredients:

the start of maximizing Impact for Life

Impact Ingredients started in 2019 with the partnership with Sofinol SA in Switzerland, a global leading batch refining plant in Omega 3 and 6 specialty oils and 100% owned by Swiss Food multinational Nestlé. With this partnership the company started with a complete portfolio of EPA and DHA Omega 3 Fish and Algae oils as well as ARA Omega 6 Fungi oil for the Early Life and Adult nutrition markets and with speciality vegetable oils for the Cosmetics market.

Moreover, with the partnership started in 2020 with Malaysian origin and Germany based globally leading Oleochemical company KLK Oleo, Impact Ingredients could add the full range of KLK’s MCT oils to their portfolio for the Early Life and Adult nutrition as well as for the Pet nutrition market. With these 2 partnerships (and future new ones to come) combined with Impact Ingredients global experience and network, the company is continuously focusing on innovation to extend the product range and service the market the best way possible.
